![]() These raiders seek to kidnap and kill your peasants, steal your resources, and burn your town to the ground. The new land you're settling is at risk of viking invasion. You can even throw festivals if you've built a town square! Send out wood cutters to collect wood, set up stone quarries to build your castles, and farm the land efficiently so your town can grow and thrive. Build churches to keep them from despair and taverns to keep them happy. ![]() Make sure your peasants are fed in the winter and healed of plagues. Tax them just enough to fund your castle. Strategically layout your town to improve your peasants' happiness and to attract new residents. Do the viking raiders make off with your villagers? Or are they stopped, full of arrows, at the castle gates? Does a dragon torch your granary, your people dying of starvation in the winter, or are you able to turn the beast back? The success of your kingdom depends solely on your skill as a city and castle planner. Your kingdom must survive a living and dangerous world. Make sure you only have the four files in this folder.Kingdoms and Castles is a city-building simulation game about growing a kingdom from a tiny hamlet to a sprawling city and imposing castle. If it isn't called it already, rename the banner "custombanner.png". Now copy and paste your new banner from the desktop folder into this folder with the three files. If you see this then you can delete it as you will be replacing it. ![]() If your save is using a custom banner then you will also see "custombanner.png". Inside here, you should see three files cover, summary and world. Once you have done that, open the original folder (not the one in the desktop folder). We do this just in case it breaks the save and makes it unplayable (it most likely wont but better safe than sorry). Now before we go into that folder, copy it and paste it into the folder that you made on your desktop. Ill be using autosave as it is my most recent. If you want to use your most recent save then all you need to do is click "Date modified" so that the most recent one is at the top (normally "autosave" will be the top). Now find the folder for the game you want to put your banner in. Here you should see some folder(s) with complicated names, these are your saves. Now navigate to C:\Users\\AppData\LocalLow\LionShield\Kingdoms and Castles\Saves. Inside this folder, place the banner you would like to use. What I recommend doing is making a temporary folder on your desktop. It is a little complicating but I will try my best to show you how to do it! You can also leave the game open as it does not need to be restarted to update the banners!Īfter a while I did managed to figure out how to replace the banner for existing saves! Leave this folder open as we'll becoming back to it soon. If you don't see the image you can save it from here and then put it in the folder. Once in the "CustomBanners" folder, you should see the reference image (banner_reference). This will then open file explorer and there should be the banner reference inside. Now click the small arrow next to "Your Banners". Now you should be able to choose your kingdom name and banner.Ĭlick on the banner and a banner menu should appear. To do this, open your game and create a new save. It is very similar to Photoshop but doesn't have some larger features that Photoshop has but this wont be a problem for what were doing! Don't panic if you don't have Photoshop! You can go on your browser and search. ![]() ![]() Now the first thing you'll need to do is open Photoshop or something similar. ![]()
